Proudly Serving Our Community The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan has supported numerous artists and incubated several art organizations in the communities of Peachland, Westbank, Kelowna, and Lake Country, over the past several decades. The Arts Council serves wide demographic and interest areas, ranging from children, youth groups, students, families, through visual, literary, performing, and music artists and arts groups, to businesses corporations and educational institutions. The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan has grown exponentially over the past 2 years and has significantly increased both its financial income and contributions to the community. It continues to maintain, monitor, and further develop diverse programming involving different spheres of the Okanagan community, ranging from artists and arts organizations to business, corporate, and educational groups. Okanagan Arts The Fall 2008 issue of Okanagan Arts magazine - a full-colour, high-quality, quarterly - distributes 15,000 copies throughout the Okanagan. It consists of articles, stories and pictorial presentations on the culture of our community, and the artworks and artistic performances that emerge from it. The Arts Start HereThe Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is a resource centre and advocate for the arts in the City of Kelowna and the Regional District of the Central Okanagan. ARTSCO is on top of current arts and cultural events in the Central Okanagan community, develops special projects, supports members through advocacy and information resources.This website is our virtual meeting space and bulletin board. You can find information on the services we offer artists and the community, find the latest cultural events, and discover the resources that are available in the community that foster the arts. Our office is open. Stop in and stay informed about local artists, musicians, authors and member groups.
