The Okanagan Arts Awards Program will be supported financially through sponsorship, both corporate and individual.
Some sponsorship will be provided as designated funds, and others will be in-kind.
Monetary or in-kind sponsorships can be directed to specific awards.
Potential sponsors will be provided with a Sponsorship package which gives the necessary information about the program. We are a registered charity, BN/Registration Number:118978543RR0001, and all sponsors will receive an income tax deductible receipt.
Monetary Sponsorship
The donations made as sponsorships can be of two types.
1.Endowed: The first type is an endowed sponsorship, which involves the donation of a significant amount, from which the interest is put toward the awards annually.
2. Annually Funded: The second type is an annual donation of a specified amount.
All donations are eligible for an income tax receipt.
All donations will be acknowledged according to the Sponsorship Program.
Ordinarily, costs incurred by the Arts Council for the administration of donated funds will be charged against the income of such funds.
In-Kind Sponsorship
Possible in-kind sponsorship could consist of:
- advertising
- facilities
- décor
- sound systems
- support gifts (see Appendix C)
- other
Receipts will be issued for the value of in-kind donations if requested.
